Weather station

The weather station used to provide the current conditions for this website is an AcuRite Atlas Model 06059. It's located in a backyard and the rain gauge, thermometer, hygrometer, and UV index sensor are roughly 12 feet off the ground. The anemometer and wind vane are roughly 22 feet off the ground. The station was first installed at the end of March 2021.

My name is Clayton Stiver and I have had a passion for meteorology ever since the 2nd grade. While I was growing up, I also had the pleasure of running a digital weather station installed on the top of my parent's house. It's many years later now, but I am currently a professional meteorologist fulfilling my childhood dream and working at the local news station that I grew up watching...WFMZ Channel 69News. I was inspired to get back into tinkering with a digital weather station again, and so, I went ahead and put up the AcuRite station at my place of residence.
